TECUMSEh property - Davis Township, East Wahnapitae, Ontario




This property was acquired by Trueclaim Exploration in the fall of 2010. With all other exploration work going on in the fall of 2010 there was limited time to fully explore the site. Mapping, sampling and potential excavation work will be the primary work to occur on the property in the summer of 2011.

The geology consists of quartz veins containing gold and chalcopyrite within Nipissing Diabase. The Nipissing Diabase is approximately 800m wide in this location and strikes in a north-west direction.

On the property visible gold has been observed in both quartz-carbonate veins as well as silicified shears. A shallow shaft was sunk on the property, only about 10m deep on a quartz-carbonate vein carrying erratic free gold. The vein was traced 100m to the south-east where a second shaft was sunk 15m. It has also been observed that free gold occurs in sheared Nipissing Gabbro. Four veins sampled historically ran between 74.88 to 107.84g/t Au, with up to 3.79% Cu. In 1996, Rene Cyr`s dug 10 trenches and free gold was panned from 4 of them. Trueclaim Exploration feels that the Tecumseh property has significant potential and looks forward to exploration.
